Q1 What is Israel facing this time? (v2,5)
=> 約拿單 attack 非利士, 非利士 fight back with lots of soldiers (30k 戰車 + 6k 馬兵 + many 步兵)
How will u response when u are there? How are the Israel response to it? (v1,3-4,6)
=> Saul only has 3k 步兵 + many escaped and hide in 山洞 / deep forest.
Q2 What did Saul do @ this moment? v7-10
=> wait Samuel for 7 days while lots of his followers gone, so he put on the offering
Q3 what is in Saul's mind / explanation? v11-12
=> people are leaving;
=> Samuel are late;
=> worry without praying, 非利士 will come to attack
that's why he do the offering

=> foolish cuz he did not follow God (on what?)

What is offering / praying means to you? What's Saul's real issues?

=> offering is a commitment to God that u willing to obey;
=> praying is to share our will at the same time accept the will of God over our will
=> Saul's issues is treating praying as spell to seek God's help to victory / offering as a signal of God's be with so people will gather towards him.
